Benijofar is located in the south of the province of Alicante just 10 minutes away from the white sandy beaches of Guardamar and close to the Sierra of Orihuela mountains, an area which is known as the lower valley of the River Segura.There are some fabulous trails along the banks of the River

Its name comes from the Arabic word “Ya'far” (name that belonged to an Arab tribe with the meaning of “Sons of the Pearl”)
