On May 13, 1736, Jaime Trigueros was working in a field called El Olivar Viejo when suddenly the grating became entangled, and no matter how hard he tried, he could not get it out. He then called his servant Ginés and together they discovered a cavity with several pieces of olive boards and, between them, a canvas of just over three palms high with the appropriate width, very damaged by humidity, which they went to wash, and it was then that they discovered that they had in their hands the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary. From this discovery, people began to visit Jaime Trigueros' house regularly to worship the Virgin, and this had as a consequence that the house became a place of devotion, eventually becoming a church; in other words, the current church of La Aparecida was Jaime Trigueros' house. The name given to the place where the canvas appeared was Los Esparragales, which was replaced by La Aparecida,
