The City Hall, which still has in its façade has two memorial tablets from the ancient temple of Diana. Denia has a commercial port and a marina.
You can access the Montgó Nature Reserve from the road that goes to Jávea, which passes through Las Rotas, and San Antonio Cape where a lighthouse sits on this cape, on top of a cliff that is 163 metres high.
The bonfire/fallas festival is celebrated each March. Huge papier mache statues, called fallas are set up throughout the town, and then set ablaze.
The Bous a la Mar (meaning "Bulls at the Sea") is held in July. The highlight of this week-long festival is watching bulls run down the main street.
The main high street Marquesa de Campo is lined with London Plane Trees which at every time of year are beautifully maintained, there are an abundance of shops.
The Marina has mooring with beautiful yachts and has the equipment to lift the larger yachts of 70ft which makes it a perfect place for the sea sportsman or woman. Around the marina is a variety of restaurants and most of them are open all year around. You can charter a yacht and book a fishing trip.
From the Port you can take a ferry to take you to Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca and Formentera which are just a few hours away. As a foot passenger it is reasonably priced.
Various markets are in Denia; the main market is by the courts, the fresh fruit and vegetable market is on the street parallel with Marques de Campo and at different times of the year they have a medieval market. Fish market is daily in the late afternoon.
La Sella Golf Course is at the foot of the Montgo National Park and Mountain; the views are breath-taking from the course with Mediterranean SEA one way and the National park the other.
The Equestrian Centre Oliva Nova has the world’s best riders from all over the world
