Torre Pacheco is a municipality in the Region of Murcia, nestled in the Campo de Cartagena,8 km from the Mar Menor beaches.
Throughout the municipal area, the traditional windmills are very common, used to grind flour, to produce oil or to extract water from the subsoil. Most of these mills were built between the 18th and 19th centuries
The municipality has two urban bus lines. Line 1 runs circularly through the main nucleus of Torre-Pacheco, while line 2 connects the main nucleus with the main districts of the municipalityː Dolores, Balsicas and Roldán.
Torre Pacheco enjoys a good programme of cultural activities and Fiestas, with a fully equipped auditorium, the CAES centre offering all year round concerts and cultural activities. Each October Torre Pacheco celebrates it's Fiestas in honour of the Virgen del Rosario.
The municipality also has a busy sporting programme of activities.
The largest street market is here with 160 stalls and is held every Saturday till 15.00.
The commercial centre Las Velas is very popular and there is a disco on the top floor
