The district of Daimés is located to the south in the municipality of Elche, bordering the districts of La Marina, El Derramador, Algorós, Atzavares Baix, La Foia and the municipality of Santa Pola.

This district lacks an urban center and its population resides dispersedly, although it has an urbanization called Santa Fé, part of which is located in La Foia.

The Dolores Highway crosses it from north to south.

Daimés is eminently agricultural and, although there are second residence homes, it is one of the districts where there are more houses inhabited by farming families who are dedicated to cultivating the land. Its lands are fertile and productive with tree and horticultural crops, to which are added many palm orchards and scattered palm trees. To the south of the districts of Daimés and El Derramador, close to the Sierra del Molar and the Hondo Natural Park, is the Els Carrisals wetland where the Carrizales Irrigation Community has created the Els Carrisals Agrarian Natural Park where the The most typical and recognized products of Camp d'Elx are the Mollar pomegranate and the Carrisals melon.

The patron saint festivities of Daimés are those of San Antonio de Pádua, which are celebrated in the month of June and which it shares with the neighboring district of Foia.

Partida Daimes is an emblematic street in the municipality of Elche. Because of this, the street also belongs to the province of Alicante.

The neighbourhood food and fresh produce market. It is located on Carrer Mario Pastor Sempre. Again, this popular market is open every day except for Sunday from 07.00 – 14.30pm. On Friday it re-opens in the evening from 17.00 – 21.00
