Mutxamel is a town in Alicante. It also known as Muchamiel and it covers geographical area of 47.67 sq. km. It lies in the northern part i.e. 9 kilometres away from the metropolis of Alicante.The cities of Campelo, Raspeig and San Vicente del surround the town of Mutxamel.

Close by is El Campello, where you will find numerous supermarkets and one of the beaches mentioned previously.

The Shopping center "La Almajada", is a 14 minute drive away and the Golf course of Bonalba 3.3km. The weekly market is every Wednesday. Opening hours: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Just a stone’s throw from Alicante city, Mutxamel has got plenty of sights to see, areas of natural beauty to explore and delicious cuisine to enjoy.such as..Jardines de Peñacerrada where you can gaze at a beautiful Neoclassical property and listen to the relaxing sounds of nature emanating from the surrounding greenery. Also on your to-visit list is the magnificent San Francisco convent which has a number of chapels: El Calvario chapel, which has beautiful views; San Antonio chapel where every January there is a traditional blessing of the animals; and Montserrat chapel which dates back to the 16th century and whose location reflects the importance of water in the town.

The town 's festivals, namely La Vera Cruz, Milagro de la Lágrima, Fiesta del Ravalet and Fiesta del Salvado and - of course - Moors and Christians, which has been listed an Event of Tourist Interest.

Mutxamel is located close to areas of natural beauty complete with historic sites, such as the Mutxamel and Sant Joan waterwheels near the river Seco. There are also some lovely recreational areas such as La Sabateta and El Calvario as well as areas populated by endemic plant life, such as El Bec de l’Àguila.

It is home to several unique beaches including Playa de Mutxavista, known for its expansive coastline and excellent amenities, and Playa de San Juan, a popular destination with ample amenities and dining options. Playa de la Albufereta offers tranquility and historical interest, while Playa del Postiguet is conveniently located in the heart of Alicante.
